On Oct. 26, the University of Maryland School of Nursing held a briefing for state policymakers to explain "What It Means to be a Nurse" in 2009. The field of nursing has greatly expanded with many career opportunities for nurses and they are playing a bigger role as health care providers. The briefing included several lectures and some hands-on experience in the Simulation Lab.
